Introduction

The Issuetracker Ticket API provides an interface to send ticket data from the Issuetracker system to any external systems. The data is sent over HTTP with SSL support for security.

For two way ticket sychronization Issuetracker provides a specification for a ticket search on the external system to retreive a list of tickets for import into Iissuetracker.

Purpose

All issue tracking, note taking and knowledge base information is stored in the serverplus IssueTracker ticketing system. It is common, however, for a company to want the support ticket information to be stored in their own ticketing or billing system. This API allows agents on the phone to take calls using a consistent ticketing system, and not have to duplicate call notes an another system, while still allowing the company being supported to receive support data in a reliable format.

If the import and export APIs are used then tickets can be synchronized between both systems so that staff on both systems to have access to the same ticket information without having to their their local ticketing system.
